SOULJA BOY: Jury Awards Victim $4 million

A Santa Monica, California jury found Soulja Boy liable for assault, sexual battery, kidnapping of emotional distress.

A former personal assistant was awarded $4 million in damages. She had asked for $75 million. Before the trial, Soulja Boy attempted to settle for just $100,000.

Her attorney said outside the courtroom (quote) “We're happy our client was vindicated, and the jury believed her claims of physical and sexual assault. We're looking forward to moving on to the punitive damages phase of the case.” (USA Today)
