Driver Blames Eclipse For Road Rage On I-10 In Florida

BONIFAY -- A case of road rage, blamed by the alleged shooter on the solar eclipse, in the Florida panhandle.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers arrest a Georgia woman they say was firing randomly at other drivers on Interstate 10 in Holmes County Monday. They say 22-year-old Taylon Celestine drove her purple Dodge Challenger onto the interstate at mile marker 112 and started heading west, firing several shots at two cars over a five-mile stretch. One driver was struck by glass fragments and got grazed in the arm. He was able to steer onto the shoulder. Another driver is hospitalized after getting shot in the neck.

Troopers stopped the car at mile marker 96 and recovered an AR-15 and a 9 millimeter handgun.

Celestine reportedly checked out of a hotel after telling staff she was going on a shooting spree directed by "God" in relation to the eclipse.
