No kitchen in America is complete without a junk drawer filled to the brim with, well, junk. It seems more items are shoved into it than are ever taken out of it. But you might just want to take a little time to go through it and do a little decluttering so that maybe you'll be able to close it. DIY expert Anika Ghandi recommends decluttering the junk drawer once a month and has compiled a list of seven items you should toss from it right now because you really don't need to save them.
- Takeout utensils
- Expired coupons
- Loose batteries that may or not even work
- Pens, many of which have no caps and are probably dried up
- Condiment packets
- Takeout napkins and straws
- Office supplies
