- This wouldn’t have happened if he was walking around singing something like “Happy” byPharrell.
- You can never be too careful, especially with all these school shootings. If I was a kid going to school and heard a classmate talking about a gun, I’d be on edge too.
- People are too sensitive these days.
- This is why it’s important to consider your environment.
- Who is this guy trying to get over on? Maybe the guidance counselor doesn’t know what a draco is, but we definitely do.
Earlier this week, a college student got in trouble over Tyler the Creator lyrics. Now comes word of an Illinois high school student being suspended over Future lyrics.
A student at Washington Community High School says he got a six-day suspension after one of his classmates overheard him misquoting a lyric from the Future song “Draco.” The kid’s dad says his son was leaving school and rapping “Draco season with the bookbag” but mixed it up and said “AK season” instead.
His classmate felt threatened and went to school officials.
The kid’s dad thinks it’s unfair his son was sentenced so harshly over something that wasn’t intended as a threat. (Central Illinois Proud)
