The most decorated woman Olympian in U.S. History has ties to Florida.

Katie Ledecky added a 13th medal to her collection after the U.S. four by 200 meter freestyle relay team took silver Thursday. She won gold Wednesday in the 1500 meter freestyle.

Already a 3-time Olympian, Ledecky joined the University of Florida's Gators' program in 2021 as a volunteer swimming coach.

She begin training for Paris with Florida head coach Anthony Nesty, who is the head coach for these Olympic Games.

Ledecky could add another medal with the 800m freestyle gold medal event on Saturday.

She hopes to qualify for the 2028 games in Los Angeles.
