Teyana Taylor made history this week after being named the โSexiest Woman Aliveโ by Maxim. The magazineโs annual โHot 100โ list came out Tuesday (June 7), with the singer-director-choreographer topping the list, becoming the first Black woman to do so.ย
โSomebody pinch me!โ the mother of two wrote in an Instagram post announcing the achievement. โ...to be named the โSexiest Woman aliveโ by literally living in the skin Iโm in. Wow,โ the post continued.ย
The โWake Up Loveโ singer shared some behind the scenes tidbits that led up to the cover shot, revealing that she had just dropped off her and husband Iman Shumpertโs oldest child, Junie, off at school and didnโt have time to get glam.ย
Teyana wrote that she arrived on set wearing โsweatpants a beanie and an army jacket. My hair wasnโt done for a โshootโ because I planned on throwing on a wig & I didnโt have on any make up.โ French fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon went with Teyanaโs look and the outcome was a stunning spread of the super fit star.
โEmbrace and love yourselves for who & what you are because only the purest heart shines through,โ Teyana wrote at the end of the post before thanking the magazine. โI am truly honored to have graced the cover.โย
