Aaliyah's Urban Outfitters x Off Safety Collaboration Is Here

In honor of what would have been Aaliyah's 41st birthday on January 16, Urban Outfitters released its Aaliyah x Off Safety collection that features exclusive images of the late singer.

"Working closely with the family and estate of the late singer, actress, and model Aaliyah, Off Safety created an apparel collection that features graphics and never before seen images," the press release explains.

The collaboration includes an "Angel Baby" t-shirt ($44)that comes in lavender and white colorways and features a print of Aaliyah sporting her signature black sunglasses. It also includes a black long-sleeved shirt that shows the fashion icon rocking a camouflage bandana ($54), Billboard reports.

The Aaliyah x Off Safety collection is now available to purchase on Urban Outfitters' website.

Urban Outfitters is the latest brand to honor Aaliyah. Back in August, Madame Tussauds unveiled the late R&B superstar's wax figure at their Las Vegas location. On hand to present the highly-anticipated statue was Aaliyah's brother Rashad Haughton.

The wax figure pays tribute to the late singer's 2000 "Try Again" music video as it's clothed in Aaliyah's often duplicated metallic bra, belt, and chocker set, as well as her signature leather pants.

"It was clear right away it would be the 'Try Again' look for our Aaliyah figure," Madame Tussauds Las Vegas' Studio Manager Adam Morey told Vibein a statement. "The look has the sexy, edgy, timeless vibe we try to imbue in the Las Vegas attraction within all our creative choices. Mining popular culture as only Madame Tussauds can, our desire to honor Aaliyah and the look in this way was only confirmed as we see todayā€™s Hollywood stars like KeKe Palmer, Kim Kardashian, Zendaya, also paying homage by recreating their own favorite moments of the Princess of R&B."

He added, Aaliyah's brother was given "unprecedented access" with the design of the figure to reflect his sister's "everlasting legacy."
