We are looking for nonprofits that are interested in free public relations guidance!
Local communications professionals are offering a half day of public relations guidance to qualifying nonprofit organizations. Hosted by the Florida Public Relations Association Capital Chapter , the annual ER for PR event pairs local nonprofits with public relations experts for a complimentary training and one-on-one counseling session. Organizations are selected based on request type and availability of expert consultants. Local and state nonprofits interested in participating are encouraged to apply online by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 12. The event will be Thursday, July 18, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Institute for Nonprofit Innovation and Excellence (INIE), TCC Center for Innovation, in downtown Tallahassee.
Before the 90-minute, one-on-one guidance sessions begin, the selected nonprofits will enjoy a continental breakfast and educational session. Organizations will receive a free toolkit with helpful tips on writing press releases, determining media sources and general public relations information, instead of written plan. ER for PR activities are free of charge for participating nonprofit organizations. There is a nominal fee for nonprofits wishing to attend the Capital Chapter’s July luncheon program that immediately follows from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
